Skulls, Statues and Die Romantic: The Art Behind Our Aiden Designs
Our Aiden designs mix rough logos, horror art and a few song nods. Here's what's on each one, so you can find the piece that fits you.
Which logo is which?
Our cut-up, scratchy wordmark shows up in a few colours across the shop:
- Splatter Logo: the band name tilted in bright magenta over white paint splatter. Easy to wear every day.
- Horned Skull: a tall, worn AIDEN in bone white above a horned skull with sharp fangs.
- Cracked Frame Statue: the rough white wordmark, with a small cross on the A, above the artwork.
What about the songs?
Die Romantic is named for the 2005 single from Nightmare Anatomy. A single staring eye sheds a long red tear inside a storm of red and orange swirls, with the band name running up the side and the song title in scratchy script.
Burn Your Friends keeps it to three words in huge white capitals, with a thin Aiden signature whose A grows from a thorned rose stem. The phrase echoes "I Set My Friends on Fire", the 2004 single from Our Gangs Dark Oath.
The spooky ones
We always had a horror side, and so does the shop:
- Cracked Frame Statue: a weathered statue of a woman inside a cracked oval frame, streaked with dark lines and wrapped in red roses.
- Pin-Up Portrait: a curly-haired pin-up in cream stencil, with dark drips running from her mouth, under an orange wordmark.
- Horned Skull: an old-school horror-punk skull drawn in one pale colour.
